How to Root & Flash TWRP – Android 8.0 Oreo Nexus or Any Phone ft. Nexus 5x (100% Working)

We are Rooting Nexus 5x android 8.0 Oreo in this video but u can follow this video and Root Nexus or any Android Phone & Install TWRP Recovery.

Your device bootloader should be unlocked. Watch this Video :

Enable USB Debugging mode on your phone.

Steps to Root your Phone :

Step 1 – Download ADB / Fastboot – Android SDK Platform Tools :

Step 2 – Download SuperSU v2.82 or latest version. :

Step 3 – Download the latest TWRP for your device from here. :

And save it to your cplatform-tools directory on your computer after that rename it to twrp.img.

Step 4 – Enable USB Debugging mode on your device.

Step 5 – Connect and mount your phone USB memory on your computer using the USB cable.

Step 6 – Now copy/paste the file to your SD card. Make sure the file is in the internal storage root (not in any folder).

Step 7 – Then turn OFF your phone.

Step 8 – Now go into Fastboot/Bootloader Mode on your device. How? Press Volume Down + Power keys for a few seconds till you see some text on the screen. This is Bootloader Mode.

Step 9 – Navigate to cplatform-tools directory and open Command Prompt (Shift + Right-click and Open Command Prompt) / Search cmd.

Step 10 – Type in the following command and press Enter.
10.1 – fastboot devices
10.2 – fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

Step 11 – Once completed, choose RECOVERY from the Fastboot menu and enter Recovery Mode.

Step 12 – In ClockworkMod recovery, scroll down to “flash zip from SD card” and press the power button to select it.

Step 13 – Press the Power button again and select “choose zip from sdcard”.

Step 14 – Now using your volume keys, navigate to and select it using the Power button. Confirm the installation on the next screen and the installation procedure should start now.

Step 15 – After the installation completes, Go back and reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now” from the Recovery menu. The phone will boot now and it might take about 5 minutes to boot on your first time. So, please wait.

That’s it! Your device should now be rooted on Android 8.0 Oreo firmware on your phone! Check for the SuperSU app in your apps list to verify.

    to install a custom ROM, is it enough that bootloader is unlocked, or the devices must be rooted as well?

    The SuperSU Download link in the description isnt working, so I downloaded it from one of the top google results. I have Android 8.1 and everything worked fini, the Root Checker also said that I have Root Access, but I do not have the SuperSU-App on my device, despite installing it just like you said.

    if my phone has no bootloader unlocked, no custom recovery, can I root my device with this video without meeting the requirements I mentioned?
